DESERT SOLSTICE 24H
I had big goals and high expectations for Desert Solstice 24h. Have been looking forward to this race for a long time. Arrived to Phoenix Wednesday night and finally I could let go of all obligations and stress at home. Shake out run on Friday felt good and I was ready to race Saturday morning. Started of fine and laps passed smoothly. After something like 7 hours the feeling changed and I started to struggle and by half time it felt like I was running with my breaks on. After 15 hours I decided to call it a day.
I am not done with Desert Solstice though. It was a great event all set up for big performances.
Thank you @aravaiparunning
Sad to end 2024 like this, but sometimes s*** happens. Now I will have a season break and give my body a chance to fully recovery after a busy year.
Big thanks to my excellent coach, @sondreamdahl
You’re the best! So grateful for all your help and support during my training and races.
